Summer Activity Challenge

Get ready to turn up the heat with ASCEND's Summer Activity Challenge! The goal is simple -- to have some fun and feel good while doing it. We all fall into slumps and sometimes need some external motivation and accountability, so consider this your call to action!

  • June 2 - August 3 - Register online at any point before July 27.

  • ASCEND Members Only - FREE to participate!

  • EARN POINTS - For loving ASCEND and for loving YOURSELF.

  • FEEL GOOD - Treat yourself to health and wellness this summer.

  • WIN STUFF - Gift cards, climbing shoes, chalk, and more!

HOW DO I LOG MY SCORES?

Once you register below, you'll receive an email every Monday morning (first email on June 9 and final on August 4) with a form to complete about the past week. You must submit your scores each week for the previous week by EOD Wednesday (so, you'll have over 48 hours to do this), otherwise they won't count. Your submission is based on your honor, which we trust is admirable!

Each week (Monday - Sunday), rack up as many points as you can by gettin' after it in a number of categories. See below!

CATEGORIES

PARTICIPATION

  • Check-In To ASCEND = 1 pt / check-in (max = 1 / day)

  • Take A Class (yoga, fitness, slackline, climbing) = 5 pts / class

  • Attend A Club Meetup = 5 pts / meetup

  • Bring Non-Member Friends To ASCEND - 5 pts / friend

  • Leave ASCEND A Review (Google, Yelp, Facebook) = 5 pts / review (max 1 / wk)

FITNESS

  • 10 Routes Sent (boulders or ropes, repeats allowed!) = 5 pts / 10 sent (max = 35 pts / wk)

  • 10 Min Core Workout = 5 pts / workout (max = 35 pts / week)

  • 20 Pull-Ups (assisted is okay!) = 5 pts / 20 (max = 35 pts / week)

  • 50 Push-Ups (assisted is okay!) = 5 pts / 50 (max = 35 pts / week)

  • 30 Min Cardio Workout (run, cycle, hike, row, etc) = 5 pts / workout (max = 35 pts / week)

  • 10,000 Steps (you can estimate w/o watch) = 5 pts / 10,000 (max = 35 pts / week)

WELLNESS

  • Eat A Meal That Made You Feel Healthy = 5 pts / meal (max = 35 pts / wk)

  • Sleep For 8 Hours = 5 pts / 8 hrs (max = 35 pts / wk)

  • Meditate For 10 Mins = 5 pts / 10 min (max = 35 pts / wk)

  • Read A Book For 30 Mins = 5 pts / 30 min (max = 35 pts / wk)

  • Do A Good Deed = 5 pts / good deed (max = 35 pts / wk)

HOW DO I WIN AND HOW ARE PRIZES AWARDED?

We'll announce weekly winners and overall winners when it's all said and done. The leaderboard will be posted each week for all to see, so you'll be able to see how you're doing compared to others. Sometimes we might award those with the most points, or select winners of certain categories, depending on the week.
