Over the years, we've helped students form climbing teams for their colleges -- some have been competitive and some recreational. In both instances, team members saw great benefit to having a semi-structured way to enhance their climbing experience.
How To Form A College Climbing Team At ASCEND
Determine who (one person or a small group) will be in charge of managing the team.
Determine the structure of your team.
Recreational - Just a group of students who meet to climb each week.
Competitive - Some, or all, members of the team get involved in the USA Climbing Collegiate Series and attend regional competitions.
Determine how you will get the word out and grow your team!
