1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us
In Short: We collect personal information that you provide to us.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.

membership, check-in, class, and program history

Sensitive Information. We do not seek out sensitive information. However, if an injury or incident occurs at one of our facilities, we may collect health-related information about the individuals involved, such as the nature of the injury and any care provided. We use this information only for safety, insurance, and legal purposes, and retain it as described in Section 5.
All personal information that you provide to us must be true, complete, and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to such personal information.
Information automatically collected
In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity (like your name or contact information) but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, information about how and when you use our Services, and other technical information. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for our internal analytics and reporting purposes.

Log and Usage Data. Log and usage data is service-related, diagnostic, usage, and performance information our servers automatically collect when you access or use our Services and which we record in log files. We collect approximate location information, such as city or region, based on your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location through our website. For example, we retain signed waivers and incident reports for as long as needed to meet legal and insurance requirements. For incidents involving minors, this may extend past the minor's 18th birthday. We retain tax and financial records for the period required by law.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, transmission of personal information to and from our Services is at your own risk. 7. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
In Short: We collect information about minors only from their parent or legal guardian.
ASCEND offers youth programs, memberships, and climbing access for minors. When a minor participates, we collect their personal information (such as name, date of birth, emergency contacts, and waiver information) from the minor's parent or legal guardian, who consents to its collection and use for the purposes described in this notice.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through our website or online services, and we do not direct marketing to minors. Marketing communications about youth programs are sent to parents and guardians.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us directly online without parental consent, please contact us at [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps to delete it. Parents and guardians may contact us at any time to review, correct, or request deletion of their child's information, subject to our legal retention obligations.
8. WHAT ARE YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS?

Withdrawing your consent: If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

9. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
